Well, things went on as usual this morning and the world hasn't come to an end. Though I could have cried myself to sleep last night. We were watching the BBC last night on the internet for the election coverage. Sounds ironic I know, but after viewing Fox and CNN online last night several times, they were way behind on the electoral votes and weren't even streaming any election broadcasts online.

Anyway, one lady that was interviewed in Chicago I think it was, was saying how great it was about Obama's projected win because he was African American and what great strides our country has made in electing a black president. I don't care if he/she is white, purple, black or pink! If that is the ONLY reason why she voted for him I am SHOCKED. I really hope she likes all of his socialist ideas too! I voted for McCain because he had a better agenda than Obama not because of the color of his skin.

At least he doesn't go into office today and hopefully his plans will be a long time in coming or will never materialize. I pray he does a decent job and doesn't ruin our country.

I agree that the color of somebody's skin is a silly basis for your vote if that is all there is to it! I too hope that this country still stands in a few years. This is truly one time where I hope campaign promises do not come to fruition.

I hear you. I talked to my mother-in-law this morning who said she was feeling despondent. I am concerned about the convenient voting block we have with Obama, House Speaker Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Reid. That's two branches of the government with the same agenda. But if people are ignorant/apathetic/opportunistic about the issues then what can we expect? There are prophecies about this sort of stuff happening so the cycle continues. If we do what we should we'll make out okay:)

Unfortunately I think there are a lot of people who voted for him because he's black, as far as I'm concerned that's just as bad as NOT voting for him because he's black. Oh well, it is what it is!
