Mini Robertson Reunion & Track

April was purging month and I got rid of more things.  I took pictures of some things that I want to remember!  The soccer magnets!

Cal and Clark did drawings in elementary school and parents could purchase magnets.

Shanna enjoys using her portable gymnastics mat every now and then.

A cool car that someone saw...my family likes vehicles.

We had a fun couple of days with the Ereksons!  Park fun!

A peak at one of Lee's custom desks.  He had two made and they are beautiful!

Haley bought treats and shared them! As always she is very generous!

The kids pull out the bottle launcher from time to time and made good use of it with cousins.

Gross...something infesting our apple tree. Thankfully Lee saw it when they could be removed quite easily.

Lena and I saw my parents on my Mom's 75th birthday! I couldn't stay long as I had to get to a track meet, but it was fun saying happy birthday in person.

Cal on pole vault!

Cal and Shanna did high jump and hurdles.  They also did pole vault.  Cal found out that he really enjoys pole vault. More track pictures in future blogs, but it was really fun going to their track meets!

Our first painting job at the new office...the bathroom and the waiting room!

Several years ago we bought this tachometer at a thrift store.  My brother-in-law Andy was with us and saw and said it was worth a lot more than the $10-$15 it was selling for.  We sold it on eBay soon after, or a couple months after, and even got the money for it.  But the guy never did get back with us about his address.  Lee messaged him a few times.  Did he die or something?  So we kept it for a long time in case we needed to mail it to him.  Well, several years later...over 4 or more!  we decided to sell it again.  Lee sold it for another great price and this time we were able to ship it off!

Lee's dad turned the big 90!  Lee and I flew out to the Salt Lake area with the rest of his siblings for the big occasion.  His sister found a house we could all rent, and his sisters set up meals with one of the brother's.  It was a great weekend.  Something that was extra special was all of his siblings, sibling spouses and his parents in the temple together.  We went to the Jordan River Temple. The flight times were perfect.  We left early Saturday morning and were back late Sunday night.  It's nice we don't need a babysitter any more either!

This was a fun house I saw by the house we rented in Sandy.

We stopped with Carl & Susan at Costco after the temple.  Keith and Julienne were with us too.  Carl got the Happy 90th Birthday and they didn't have the other cake ready.

The other cake option was this one, which Carl took.  So funny!  Yep, their dad is a boy!

After the temple and Costco, there as a really nice dinner.  Then we went went downstairs and watched a movie Carl had put together for Lee's dad with family members saying happy birthday.  Lee's dad then had a little speech prepared about his life and highlights.  It was really neat.  Better than a funeral! Then people shared stories and we had cake and ice cream.  What a great weekend!

Pictures out of order, but the Costco run!

Jordan River!

The house was pretty fun and had a pool too.  Some spots were weird, but overall a good space.

We were going to rent something fun but it was just too expensive.  The car rentals were expensive too when I initially looked.  I looked again later and found a decent price!

When we got back the house was clean and Haley left out these pretty bluebells and this awesome water color she did!

And some cute notes from Elden on the front door.

Lee gave an eye exam and glasses to a sister missionary. Her thank you card was so sweet!

Another Shanna selfie!

My friend invited me over for lunch one afternoon which was really fun. I felt so silly because I completely forgot!  Ugh.  But she waited for me and we ate late.  She gave me some Turkish Delight as well which was fun!  I always think of Turkish Delight from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I don't think I've ever had Turkish Delight either.

My friend Katherine gave me these beautiful flowers around Easter!

I think I mentioned earlier that I did another purge in April--the challenge where whatever the date of the month is, that's how many items you get rid of. April has 30 days and if you add the dates up, it's around 465.  I pretty sure I got rid of 500 items. I really thought I wouldn't be able to get rid of that many things.  We've purged so much from our house that I thought I couldn't finish this challenge.  I definitely went through things we hadn't before.  And we got rid of this cabinet and don't even miss it!  Our laundry room feels so much better!

More track!

Cal got his tickets to prom!

Lee and Shanna put the tile down in the office bathroom!

Elden went down for a little while too and worked.

Painting the exam room.  Lots and lots of painting.....
