Happy Independence Day!

It's the 4th of July!  Happy Independence Day!  Lois hosted the reunion this year and was able to reserve a spot for us at Guppy Gulch.  It's a lake playground basically.  You need to rent it with a business or organization, so it was under Lee's office. It was such a fun spot! All the water toys!

We were require to wear their special socks.

The kids had fun on the blob thingy.

We camped at a KOA in Harper's Ferry. We headed out there to set up camp and eat dinner. I think Elden stayed with the Heits...can't remember.

That evening we met at a high school to watch fireworks in

AHHH. So fun being with my family!

Going to miss this kid!!!  Rhett and his family are headed to Guam for a Navy assignment!

The fireworks were awesome!  It took us FOREVER to get out of the high school parking lot though. For some reason traffic wasn't moving.  We were stuck for a good hour. Thankfully no one needed the restroom.  Finally a guy that worked at the highschool had a key for a side gate and was able to get some cars out the back way.

We had a late night at the campground. The group next to us were some young adult.  It was about 1am and they woke us up.  They were so loud!  I was so tired and it was quiet hours...so I said something.  Like, guys, it's quiet hours. I don't want to have to call the office. They got quiet right away and went to bed I guess.

Daniel and Amy surprised us!!!  So fun he rode his Harley up!

Next up, tubing on the Conodoguinet Creek!  People could float from Darrell's to my parents house. We took a short cut and drove halfway, then got in the river.  The paddle boards were so much nicer to use than the tubes!

It was a muddy mess getting out for Haley!  And one of her shoes was stuck!

Late lunch at Grandpa and Grandma's!

I might have pictures out of order....we ate at Darrell's at one point that day...maybe it was before tubing!  Family time and photos!

Now for more fireworks. Clark and Eric had a blast!

Elden securing his Onewheel.

Lots of driving that weekend! We were exhausted!  Steph came to spend a few days with us and stayed in the basement. I just had renters leave Saturday, and she arrived Saturday night so I wasn't able to clean or set up. When I went down there about 12:30am I saw that the renters had left a bunch of food and a case of beer in the fridge.

Sibling time!!! So grateful my kids love the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Cal showing us his miniature writing in his journal, haha.

Golf cart time!

I watched Steph's kids one day so they could have a little anniversary getaway. We got ice cream!

Fun with Aunt Steph!

Saw Lee and Clark riding bikes together.

One evening we hung out by the firepit.  I loved it.

New flags for the cart!

We did some pickleball with the Lorimers.

I brought Teresa to the temple for the first time--really special!

Shanna messing with something haha. Probably some college prep? Or looking at sweatsuits?

Yep, 7-11 day! Free slurpees!

Eric and Lisa and their family came down!  So fun. The next post will be about our boating with them! So exciting and weird that Eric will be leaving soon for his mission!

Not sure what Elden did, but I think he had fun breaking something!
