Valentine's Day, BYU Prize!

Wow, it's February already. Pizza night!  Well, every Friday is pizza night which I love.

Cal has been doing a lot of family history and temple work. He found a family we are distantly related to, the Cooper family. Ten kids needed their work done. He got 9 other people together to be the kids. Then in his bishopric there is a Brother and Sister Cooper. He asked them to be the parents.  All of them went through the endowment session for the family and then there were 12 of them around the altar to be sealed together. SO NEAT!!!  Such a special experience.

My friend Patti gave me a book people can sign when they stay at our rental. I thought this was funny.

Ugh....don't know which renters did this but they got my oven really, really dirty. Ugh. What in the world did they dump in here?!

This is a cute little Amazon gift card! I got one each for Sheldon and Ciera.

Another temple trip!

The snow is still around!! It got into the single digits...so it's really cold out! Not as cold as some places in the world. but for sure cold.

Lee started getting stuff into the garage!

Another track meet!  This one I think we were late and completely missed Elden throw.

Elden made naan bread. Haley has made it a few times for us. It turned out great!

All the college kids got together, even Cal, to see Sheldon for his birthday weekend. It was also Super Bowl Sunday. We never watch the Super Bowl. So they were having that party too.

People migrated to the basement to play games.

Cal rode down with Katie. And they went to church with Haley. So fun!!! Sheldon's friend Joseph Cheadle was there too from Minnesota. Very fun.

The first public message from President Oaks was at BYU!!!  Haley waiting for the devotional...getting in some rest.  Thankfully all the BYU kids got in. It was hard to get a seat. People were camping out-ish...waiting in line since 6am or something.

Shanna didn't know if she could get in so she went straight from an exercise class to the devotional. I watched it too.  So good!

I didn't notice this till they mentioned it in April General Confernce (Yes, I am slow getting to February). People are holding up their phone flashlights to show people that there were still seats to get into the devotional. So awesome and what a great analogy. Share your light of Christ so others can join you on the covenant path.

A guy who works on our cars sometimes built a pool house. So cool!  He has 10 or 11 kids. This will be so fun for them.

Someone posted this picture and thought it would be fun to repost. Tyler, Scott, Lee and Nathan.

Valentine goodies for the office staff!

We had our annual Funky's skate night!

Teresa and I went to the temple again!

Awww, Valentine's from Lee!!

Our friend Jes Fitt told Elden about her friend JR who is an airplane mechanic and owns an airplane. Elden has been texting him. Lee and Elden went out one day to Weyer's Cave to meet JR. Elden really enjoyed it. He wants to start getting his private pilot's license.

Haley and Shanna went to an epic game!  I am not sure if Clark and Chloe were there. Nate came with them. BYU retired Jimmer Fredette's jersey that night. On the jumbo tron there was a QR code to win a prize. Haley scanned it and won!!! She won a signed basketball of Wooden Award recipients. It's like the Heisman for football players. Super cool!

Free jerseys!  Elden also didn't know that Jimmer was so young. He thought he was in his 80s.

Lee starting to put together the workbench!!!

I made some little Valentine's for people. Sewed some cardstock together...candy is inside.

Made one for Lee too.

Haha throwback photo.

Date night at Hanks!

Valentine's for Elden!

Pizza!

Some ping pong!

A cozy fake fire. It would be fun to fix up this wall decorwise...just not sure what!

Wintertime!

We're back just to one again!  I feel settled in now with one kid.

The kids had a day off in January and went out to Ely. Lee's brother Carl went too and treated them to goodies at Economy Drug and pizza for dinner!  Best uncle! (Cal stayed at BYU-I)

Carl did TimTam slams too!  So fun.

Lee installed a new light in this bedroom.

Elden making....pasta salad?

Excited to go through this book!

I went to a youth activity and saw Amelia!  Sent this to Shanna.

Back at BYU!

Cal at the Idaho Temple with friends!

Renters left a lot of stuff, haha.

Haley shared this with me. Grandma Robertson showed this to Haley from one of her cookbooks. Too funny.

Getting Valentine packages ready!  Their Christmas college packages took forever to arrive, so I wanted to get these sent to my college kids sooner than later.

Another great temple morning.

Elden playing pingpong with pops.

Shanna and her boyfriend Nate! They are officially dating.

Lee and I helped out at a track meet.

Lee smoothed out the sand for triple jump.

And then someone changed the photo with AI. Haha.

So excited to Elden throw again!

A throwback that Katherine sent me. The Sunday night before Clark left for Arizona.

Temple trip with Elden and Liam.

A big BYU game against University of Utah! Sheldon even saw the kids on tv. Super fun!

Shanna and Haley with Nate next to Shanna.

Lee and Elden enjoyed the game too. Dinner first!

I was hoping for a good snow storm and we got one!  It snowed...but then it turned into icy snow and created a huge mess. Church was canceled and so was the rest of the week of school.

Home church with everyone!

Elden's baking magic.

I asked Elden to clear off the trampoline. The snow on top was quite hard and crusty...and it's heavy.

Classic roast for dinner. Yum.

Shoveling was so hard!  Before the storm hit, Lee contacted a company that does yard work and snow removal. He asked if they could clear the parking lot at the office. They weren't sure if they could get to it. But they did. YAY! That parking lot is sooo big. Okay, it's not that big. But when shoveling snow with a couple inches of hard pack snow on top...not fun. We shoveled some on Sunday at the office, but gave up.

Early Monday morning we did out driveway. I'm glad we got it done right away. The rest of the days were very cold and sunny. So the snow didn't melt but sort of did....a harder ice top was created. People who waited to shovel had a hard time. They even got out axes and hammers to break up the snow.

You can see the beginnings of the packed snow already.

Nice Clark!!!

Waffles for breakfast. It's so nice having snow days!

Elden wearing his fuzzy socks he got from Brittany at seminary.

Elden had Liam and Brennon come over one afternoon to go sledding and then they made pizzas. You just slid right on top of the snow. See the lack of marks in the snow? I guess some people were injured pretty bad with sledding on the hard snow. It was so fast!

Love getting photos from the college life people!

With school closed again, we did a temple trip with our friends that also had a snow day!

Walking in the cemetary. Notice...no footprints. It's that hard!

Haha, one of my nephews filled this out. Too funny.

We had another snow day so we met up with the Shepherds again. We had lunch at their house then went to the church to visit and play pickleball.

Game time!

Treats from Moxie's.

See all the ice chunks?? It's been quite the mess!
