Happy Independence Day!

Holidays creep up fast and it's already the 4th! Before the family reunion we did a few fun other things with the Gerlas. We went to the waterpark one day--thanks to Shanna for getting us free waterpark tickets! 

I picked up Clark from the airport. He came home for the reunion which was really fun. And I missed the big 300.000 photo. Rats!

We took a lake day at Lake Anna. Lee was working though, which it would have been more fun to have him along. We went with Roger, Sharon, Lexi, Riley, Wil, Sheldon & Ciera. 

We rented again from Duke's Creek and again had the wimpy pontoon of 60hp. 

We drove over by our friend's lake house so Clark could see it since he's never been out there. 

We loved seeing the plane in the hangar!

We got up early that morning to head to the reunion!  My parents hosted the Elden & Lena Bartholomew Reunion this year. I never heard anyone doing anything about it, so I took over. I booked the pavilion at Gifford Pinchot State park. In years past this has been a great location, but this year it was quite the dump. Long grass, dirty bathrooms, messy picnic areas. Ugh. AND the lake closed to swimming soon after we arrived.  I won't be going here again!

My cousin Greg came with his wife Sylvia. As well as my cousin Kent and his wife Cindy. Sadly I didn't realize that not many people knew about the reunion. I spread the word a little, but it wasn't enough. I knew not many people would come, but was hoping for a few more.  But hey, I wasn't in charge so oh well. My parents split the food cost with me for the 4th so that was really nice.

Lee and I went home that night and skipped a night at the campground. We slept at the house then got up early the next day to bring Shanna back up to Hershey Park. 

Fun day hanging out with cousins. Another warm day. We stayed till about 6pm. For dinner I ran over and picked up fried chicken at Giant.

Fun family reunion!  I couldn't go on many rides because of motion sickness, even with taking Dramamine. I probably should have taken it sooner. Nice too that my part of the reunion was all over! Whew!
