An Ely 4th!

We had a fun 4th of July in Ely.  We arrived the night of the 3rd and spent all day in Ely.  After a ward breakfast at a local park we headed downtown for the local parade.  Lee's nephew Nathan is the new Mayor of Ely.  Nathan let Clark drive the jeep in the 4th of July parade. The other kids rode as well throwing candy, except for Cal.

After the parade there were lots of games in the park, which the kids loved.

Shanna and Haley won the watermelon run game.  We stopped at Economy Drug so they could claim their prize of a treat.

We didn't do very well on the tug-of-war.

Lee got to see his friend from high school, Thomas Bath.

Yummy lunch at Grandpa and Grandma's!

All of Lee's siblings were together except Carl.  Hopefully next year they can all be together!

Later that afternoon we went over to Kent's house.  He took Clark and Lee on a drive in his BMW and I got to see Hannah's RV she and her husband remodeled.  They sold their house and most of their belongings and are living in the RV for several months seeing the west coast!

Time for fireworks at the Ely golf course!

I wish we would have stayed an extra day in Ely visiting with family, but we were off running on other activities and also to head home.  I put together these baskets for Lee's team members for the 4th, which was really fun!

I hope you all had a great 4th of July!  Even with the crazy stuff and leadership here in the USA, we still live in an amazing country with so many freedoms and opportunities.  Please pray for our country and its leaders!  God bless the USA!
