Christmas 2015

Ah, Christmas.  Basically the favorite day of the year!  The kids were super nice and didn't even wake us till 7am.  Poor Haley felt awful that day.  I was hoping that she would have felt better having been on the medicine for 24 hours.

Pumpkin pie for breakfast!

Lining up to see presents! We all wore the same pjs as last year with a couple exceptions.  I did buy Elden new pjs, and Clark has my pjs on.  I wore Clark's.  They did not fit me very well, but I knew that Clark would not be able to fit into his old ones. I love wearing similar pjs!

We brought each kid in one by one to see their stocking and a few gifts, then opened gifts from under the tree.

Cal has a stuffed Enderman from Minecraft.  He hung a stocking for him--the gray sock--and requested that it by put by his stocking.

Now it was time to open presents from under the tree!  We should have turned on our fireplace (our DVD of a burning fire) but completely forgot.  A little ways into opening gifts I called my mom and she sat in via google+ watching the kids open gifts.  As some of you may know they are in Salt Lake City on a mission at the Family History Center at Temple Square.  My sister Stephanie joined in a little bit too.  It was nice because it made the present opening last a lot longer!

Christmas Day 2015 (155)

The rest of the day we talked with some family, played, ate, watched a movie and hung out.  It was a perfect Christmas! It was great having Lee home all day, with no where to go.  We loved the traditions that we did and hope to continue them.  Among the many fun Christmas traditions, one new thing Lee and I did was set aside money for random giving.  It was so fun!  One experience I had was at McDonald's.  I took Haley there for part of our date and I decided I wanted to pay for the vehicle behind me.  A vehicle pulled up that didn't look like the necessarily needed someone to pay for them...me being judgmental.  But then another vehicle pulled up behind them that was really old, and had a busted out window with cardboard on it.  I stalled in line so I could pay for both vehicles.  The lady behind me ordered something for about $3 and I looked back and she seemed really happy/surprised that someone had paid for her order.  I was really disappointed though because that one car that I was excited to pay for only ordered something for about $1.60!!!  Oh well.  I wonder if they were wishing they would have ordered more, ha ha.

And something I didn't do, I need to recommit to NO HOUSE PROJECTS in December!!!  I think we'll be okay for December 2016.  I don't see any big projects on the horizon the end of 2016. Also I talked to Lois about some things to do differently for 2016, like preparing sibling and parent gifts well before December.  Love that idea.  I would love to get all the gifts bought and ready before Thanksgiving....we'll see about that one!  Anyway, hope your Christmas was magical!  We love the Christmas season.  Such a special time of year!
