Having 5 kids is catching up to me. Lee and I mainly seem to stay ahead with cooking, cleaning and laundry but not on many other projects that need to get done. Last week was pretty busy though, so hopefully this week I can get some much-needed things done.

Last week we enjoyed a trip to the splash park in Waynesville with a friend and her kids. Clark and Cal also played with friends different times through the week. Lee enjoyed a Saturday bike ride, a softball game and home teaching. We had the Elders over and fed them dinner, as opposed to eating them. Shanna has been biting Haley. Hopefully Lee and I can figure how to stop that. Cal enjoyed his birthday and LOVED his cake! Lois and I officially started our workout competition. We have to workout five days a week for at least a half hour a day. We also submitted another big student loan payment. It should clear tomorrow or Wednesday. Just FIVE more months till we're debt free! And Lee and I actually went out to eat at a real restaurant! Sybil's in St. James. We enjoyed the atmosphere and going to a place a little nicer than normal. Our friend Whitney babysat the four oldest while we took the triplets along. (Ha ha, just kidding. We of course just had Elden with us.)

I am not sure what the doctor wants to do with Elden and his weight checks and blood checks. I haven't heard back from him. I know I'll have to call him, but I'll wait and do it tomorrow or Wednesday. I love that the Army will reimburse me the cost of fuel to go to Columbia, plus will pay for a meal for me. Elden could get one too, but is a little young for french fries. We went to Columbia for Elden's MRI over a week ago, and we have to go again the end of July for a neonatal follow-up. And this the reimbursement is especially nice since fuel costs are rising again. Ugh....

Yesterday in church we sat in front of a family that was just visiting. She commented afterwards on how she enjoyed watching our family, and something about us having a large family. I was very flattered! For me a small family is 1-3 kids, medium 4-6, large 7+. I always thought a "large" family would be great, so for someone to say I had a large family with just 5 was fun. (Yeah, I'm weird.) Sacrament meeting went pretty well yesterday with our kids. We didn't have to take anyone out and that means a lot!

Enjoy a few pictures!

Elden looks so sweet! Yea Shanna, enjoy those books to the fullest!!! When my kids bite, I squeeze their cheeks together with my thumb and first finger, then I say "don't bite." When they are older they get a drop of hot sauce, or something else they don't like, when they do anything naughty with their mouths. One time I gave Ethan a tiny piece of pickle because he likes hot sauce. He hated it!!! I had to keep myself from laughing in front of him.

I had biters so I will pass on what someone passed on to me. Put vinegar in their mouth after they bite. It tastes yucky but can't hurt them. Cadee liked vinegar so I used lemon juice with her. I just put some on a q tip and swabbed their mouth. It worked like a charm. Good luck with all of that. I am glad you guys are doing good.
