Happy New Year!

We had a fun time ringing in the new year with family.  One of the first pictures of Jan 1!

We were soon back home on New Year's day. Nathan and Shadrach came to visit us. We had Chinese food for lunch on the 2nd.

I wasn't sure what activities to do with Nathan. On New Year's day Lee was home, but then Lee worked Jan 2. We drove up to the Del Webb overlook and visited.  That seemed to go okay. They had to get to DC and left about 2:30pm.

One of the days we were going to go to the trampoline park but it was packed. We decided to just get ice cream and call it good.

Haley and Elden had fun at Route 33 Burgers with Ciera and Sheldon.

A little shopping with the golf cart!

More game time! Shanna's friend Joey came to hang out with us for a little bit.

One night we went axe throwing. Shar and Lee Lorimer and their kids joined us too. Haley had to work that night.

We went back up to PA to celebrate Serena's birthday!

Elden was ordained by Lee to the office of a Priest! It was special to have Clark and my dad there.

It started snowing when we left PA.

This is what it looked like that night.

Liam and Christian met up with us that night to stay the week with us. Their parents and other siblings headed out of town because their floors were getting refinished.  But so Liam and Christian didn't have to miss high school classes they stayed with us. The holidays were really fun but it was busy with guests the entire time.  Very soon after we arrived home from PA we had a little party, just us, before Liam and Christian came.

Shanna babysat the Karren kids one night and Abby wanted Haley to have this donut. So cute!

Elder Robertson time!

Annnnd!  We got snow!

We were able to get the golf cart out and drive it around a little bit.

Sledding time with friends!

Before Clark left we went tubing. Shanna wasn't thrilled about it because we would be up late and have school the next day. But because of the snow school was cancelled Monday and Tuesday!  It was actually cancelled the WHOLE week!

Elden and Liam rode with Xavier and Eva to see Xavier's house and then they would meet us tubing.  Xavier wasn't driving cautiously and went off the road. Thankfully it wasn't bad and we were able to push him out.  No damage to his car either, I don't think.  So if you see a crooked speed limit sign on your way up to Massanutten, before the waterpark, off to your right, it's where they went off.

It was really slushy, wet and muddy out!  Lee was sprayed with mud helping with the car pushing.  Some of the girls got some too.

But we made it tubing! So fun! Lee, Brennon and Mallece Lorimer met us.

Tim Tam slams before Clark leaves!

Liam loved them.

Clark's break ended and I drove him to the airport. The roads weren't very good. But we didn't have any problems.  We left at about 3:30am. The roads in Harrisonburg were horrible, as you see below.

Till the summer Clark!!!

We went skiing a couple of times during the week which was really fun. Haley got a free rental and Elden used it to snowboard.

I made Shanna come with us this one time. She didn't like it.....but I'm glad she was with us!

Eva and Xavier met up with us which was really fun.

Still no school on Wednesday so we went to the temple.  The people I work with in the baptistry are there every week, so it was really fun seeing them!

We had fun watching this movie. I read the book too, so it was fun to see that the movie took a lot from the book.

Hugs!

This is our new favorite cookie recipe. Ila got it from her mother-in-law. So now we call it Aunt Heidi's cookie recipe. SO GOOD. We use two full bags of chocolate chips. And closer to 4 cups of flour.

For my birthday I just wanted extra spending money. I bought a few fun things. One of them was this thermos. It's quite big. It's next to a 32oz Nalgene bottle.

So pretty!

Time to recycle the unused Christmas cards!  I buy 500 postcards. They are so cheap that it's better to just buy a ton.

1-11 11:11pm!

Elder Robertson met up with an old companion briefly. He was last with him in October or November I think?  He had a rough 2 transfers with him. But Elder Robertson persevered and treated him in the best Christlike manner he could! I am glad he's with another companion though!!!
