July 4th 2023!

We rolled in Friday from Utah and turned around for another huge trip...but closer to home.  Our family reunion and the 4th of July. Lee and I hosted whoever wanted to come at Smith Mountain Lake. We had two pontoons and a jet ski. Love lake days.  It was crazy with everyone, but still nice to be at the lake!

We went to "the bridge" to feed the fish.

Some of us, including myself, put peanut butter on our toes so the carp could suck it off.  It felt very weird!  But the fishes' mouths were soft and warm, haha.

My awful sunburn

On the way home we grabbed pizza and then because we have to make things crazy, the guys went shooting that night at Greg's.

Yep, they were super tired at some point!

We got up early Sunday morning to head to PA for church at 9am.  We hung out at Darrell's after.  I knew my mom was sick from seeing her at church, so I tried to stay away. But was still inside.

My dad wasn't feeling well either. Little did we know they had COVID.  We would find out a few days later.

The next day we were headed to Hershey Park, so we did a matching shirts craft for the event.

We headed out to Gifford Pinchot for the night....dinner and home church!

One of my favorite camping meals!

Some kids brought their own sleeping stuff. Haley had her own tent.

The next day...Hershey Park! The night before was pretty wet with rain leaking into the tent. Haley switched out of her tent so the boys could sleep in there, but then she had a miserable night in the Chevy, then in the wet tent.

We had fun running around the park. It's a hard place to visit with people but fun to run around with my kids and Lee.

We took a quick trip to Hershey World too.

The next morning some people got together for shooting with Uncle Sheldon.

We then had the reunion at the church...games, lunch and visiting.  My dad was feeling horrible so after lunch Lee and I took him home. We found out later that he went to hospital later and the next day that he had COVID.

That night we watched the fireworks by the Susquehanna River.

Gas at Sheetz was $1.76 in celebration of 1776!  So fun.  We had a fun reunion!  Time to go home....

Made it back!  One light went out at the office. Lee ordered a new one. It will take awhile to arrive though.

Headed here soon!  Woo hoo!
