It's cold outside....time to play!

Christmas break is over, and we're back to everyday life, which is very full!  Elden brought home a cool optical illusion piece of art he made. It's actually all flat, but looks 3D through a camera lens.

Elden's old socks, my new shoes.

Thanks to the different little school breaks, we headed to West Virginia to Canaan Valley State Park to try their skiing.  We stayed at the lodge two nights, which was super fun and a decent price.  We loved staying at Snowshoe, but it's so expensive!

I love the Christmas decorations were still up!

The room we had had two beds and a fold-out couch, plus a little kitchen.  Dated, but worked great.

We were going to ski two days, but decided to do just one.  Several of the runs were closed and the snow was pretty icy.  We got a great deal on the ski lift pass from bringing canned goods for a donation...and a discount.

We had some lunch and went back out skiing for a little longer.

A mandatory Monopoly game.

That night we did an arcade night at the lodge. I wish I would have brought the swim suits.  I was mixed up with the lodging and thought we couldn't do swimming here, but we totally could.  Next time!

Since we skipped skiing the second day, we headed home and decided to hit up the jump park by our house.  Shanna wasn't feeling well, so we took her home.  Ice on the way home!

Not shown but I did a front and back flip! Lee and I did back flips at the same time.  Cal helped me by spotting me a couple times.  I've done front and back flips plenty....but YEARS ago.

You know, sibling time.

I suggested a change at Lee's office....getting rid of the red Ray Ban display case.  It was big and taking up a lot of corner space.  We like how it turned out.  Lee got another glasses "peg board" and a mirror that can tilt side to side.

Shanna gifted Elden some fun LED strip lights for Christmas for his truck, but they were duds.  The new ones finally came.

Haley hosted a game night + make your own pizza. Movie too.

A guy riding a scooter with a scooter.

We had a crazy Saturday....cleaning the church, getting wood, a baptism, helping with a move, doing a Relief Society birthday party (no one came, insert crying face) and then the youth standards night.

I thought I would try out a monthly birthday party for whoever had a birthday that particular month.  This was for all the January birthdays.  Sad that not a single soul showed up.

Some action is happening in the basement at the office!  We were hoping it would be done before New Years.  Ha. Way off! Since the New Year deadline passed, it's been nice taking a slow pace.

I think we were working on mission papers.

We broke out a board game....fun playing Ticket to Ride!

A fun new, metal sign!!!

I made some little pails for the young women for ministering. Cards and Candy!

A pancake morning!  I think school was canceled?

Another Ticket to Ride game.

Sweet Frog!  We were fulfilling a promise to take the kids and finally went.

Ben & Jerry's and Kippers.....hmmmm......One of these things is not like the other.

Our snow day...but no snow.

So my new friend is 96 and lives in a cute townhome.  I love these doors.  I want to use something similar in the basement.

My friend Teri had a big day--her husband Kenneth became a Lieutenant Colonel! I also found out about this time I would be released from being the Relief Society president. Four years and 4-5 months!

A pretty winter night.

Someone trying to dye the bowties.

The bros.

My friend Katherine's mom died.  We headed down to North Carolina for the funeral.

While Katherine was in North Carolina I hung out with Jack a little. And he hung out with me.

Getting Cal's stuff in for his full-time mission!

I think this is a photo recording Shanna's hair length?  Or?

Baby Cal. Such a darling cutie.

Tickle attack. Dad is the victim. Haley and Elden are the said ticklers.
