Nauvoo Trail of Hope + Love

Haley has been cooking and baking and her German pancakes didn't disappoint!

Not sure why this is in my photos...maybe someone wanted the recipe so I sent it to them? But here you go.  A yummy birthday staple around here.  Just make sure you don't over bake it!

Shanna getting ready to ski with friends!

IT'S BACK!!! Finally after several months we have the Fit back!  We are so glad!  We sold the orange Fit too.

A missionary out in the second ward, and Clark is out!  Cal will be getting his call sometime next month.

Very exciting stuff in the basement....framing is going in!

This was basically our only snow this winter....Enjoy.  Not much of it!  We had the ice storm earlier.  And since I am writing this several months later, so other snow happened.  Very sad!

Lee left me some fun treats every day leading up to Valentine's Day! He hid them around the house and I would have to find them.

The lonely prairie...with deer...

We finally made it to the Exodus weekend in Nauvoo!  It's a commemoration for when the saints were forced to leave Nauvoo in 1846. It was cozy for us with a yummy breakfast, a special welcome, a walk down Parley Street to the Mississippi River, a ceremony & music.  The river was even partly frozen on the edges so we could walk on it!

We met some 2nd cousins!

A walk down Parley Street.

We did baptisms and then were able to tour two houses in Nauvoo.  That night we hung out with the Bunkers at a condo then headed to Steph's to sleep a little and go to church on Sunday.

The aftermath of the trip!  It was a whirlwind and awesome!

Cal was recognized one night for indoor track. Not sure why I wasn't there. Hmm....

For Young Women one night we saw Newsies at Harrisonburg High School.

Sylvia was in the play.  They did a great job.  Trevor Inouye was Jack--he did a great job too!

More winter games.

Elden and Liam trimmed some of the apple tree branches.

Shanna, Haley and Cal went to a Valentine's dance with Jessie and Lisa and Eric.

Yum....Thank you Trader Joes!

Elden finally received some grass from Japan from Elder Robertson!

A big event, I was released as Relief Society President Feb 5th after 4 years and 3 months of service! A new president (Missy Groppel) was called and a new primary president (Jes Fitt)!

Fun to celebrate Valentine's Day!

A place we need to visit....

What I got on the 13th!

It was fun doing Valentine gifts for the team members at work.

On Valentine's Day Lee and I did an endowment and met up with my MTC companion Millie Carlson.  It was so great to see her and meet her fiancé Pete!

And the other finale, treats on Valentine's Day too!
