End of Summer, School Starts!

Right before school started we had a fun few days with Sheldon and Ciera! One activity we like to do with them is to go shooting. We had a couple ideas of where to go, but then I thought of my friend Janet who lives just outside of town.  In the end we went there and it was great.  Bonus it was only 5 minutes away!

King's Dominion made the list too....sadly it was raining!

Floating down the Shenandoah is always fun and relaxing!

One afternoon we also went to the Stony Man overlook.  There were more clouds than I would have liked, but it was still a fun view.

The clouds gave us a little break!  SO PRETTY!

Elder Robertson is enjoying Japan!

Ummm...not sure who took this one....

Or this!

Things are wrapping up at the new office.  We hope to move in soon.  I decided to paint the top of this side cabinet.  It turned out great and I think the blue/gray and dark walnut counters look much better together!

Now to switch out the handles!

Lena made Texas Sheet cake for breakfast on the morning of Rebecca's wedding.  I thought it was such a fun idea.  I jumped on it one morning and did the same.

And a random fun Sharp Shopper find

Elden saw these little shoes and thought they would be perfect for Jack Peterson.

Massanutten!

Elden started a YouTube channel, Strange Food with Little Jimmy.  He has a couple of videos on there!

Coming together!  Hours and hours of painting....and more painting.  And oodles of caulk.

This was a common site for weeks. Painting trim!

We love our PA Sundays!

Cal and Shanna having fun with dance moves learned at FSY.

A little nook at the office.

Love the counters!

We hired a guy to do the custom counters.  He made Lee's desks as well.

Time for a hike.  I cannot remember at all where we went.  I need to ask Lee!

We loved the fun pocket overlooks!

This year the high school let the seniors pick out a parking spot and paint it. Cal wanted to do "Vote for Pedro" but it was considered not appropriate, which I don't know why.  Cal was disappointed about that and did this quick one.  It was approved.

These are out of order, but before the counters were put in we wrote messages on the plywood.

We had a great trip to the Raliegh Temple!  Very short but great.

Before school started we walked around the school so the kids could find their classes.  I enjoyed the kids pointing out their art work to me.

Cal did a bunch of photo copies.  It's so bizzare and weird and cool!

Mr. Michael, their art teacher, drew this.  Cal posed for him when he painted the science teacher.

Cal helped paint this as well.

More furniture for the office!

The saddest day arrived....school started.  Thankfully the summer season isn't over yet, but it's always sad when the kids start school and our play time is over.  Elden the lone child in middle school.

Cal, Shanna and Haley at the high school.  Cal is a senior!

Lee and I did our traditional go-out-to-eat-on-the-first-day-of-school.

Shanna has been doing cheer for a few weeks now.  Friday night football games and cheer competitions for the fall.

What a good place to rest.....this guy was HUGE.

Haley started up mountain biking again.  This is definitely our busy season! Well, who am I kidding.  All year round it is!

The prep work for a new sign!!!

Great time to eat the apples off our tree...with homemade caramel of course!

Photo by Cal. He has the force!
