White Water Rafting + SML!

We had a fun adventure in West Virginia after the reunion...camping and white water rafting! The Bunkers joined us and Matt and Hyrum came along for the boat ride as well. We went down the New River Gorge and ACE Adventures.

That night we went camping.  It had been raining, but thankfully didn't rain overnight. We had enough time to set up the tent and enjoy a camp fire. The Bunkers didn't set up camp at all because of possible rain.  Sounds like they had a miserable night sleeping in their van.

We stopped for a yummy BBQ sandwhich lunch!

Time for more rafting.

A few times people could get out and swim.  One point they encouraged people to get out to have the current carry you in between two boulders.  Pretty fun!

The iconic bridge!

The bus ride back.  We all were treated to a can of soda afterwards haha.  The rafting was really fun. I thought it would be more thrilling than it was.  Or more of an adrelenaline rush.  But it wasn't.  Oh well.  Maybe it was for other people in my family! I'm sure glad we went!

Another activity we did with the Bunkers was the Blue Ridge Tunnel.  It's such a fun "walk" through a dark, mile long tunnel!

My kids are always on the lookout for cool cars.

Next activity for the post-reunion: Smith Mountain Lake!!!  It was really fun, like always.  The Briggs, some of the Weilers and some of the Hunts and some of the Petersons joined us.

We stopped at Bridgewater Marina to feed the fish.  The stop is always too long, but it's fun.  Sadly Haley was on the other boat and they didn't stop!  Later on we made another stop to take her there.

Deb and I had fun on the jetski.

Lake days are great days!  The only thing I would change is if other people would be better at spotting those we are towing.  I feel like I always have to be looking. Bascially all other people get disctracted and are good spotters.  Or whatever they are called.

The girls totally passed me up! And Shanna looks to be a smidge taller than Haley, but Haley is leaning forward.  We'll have to get an accurate height test sometime. Fun summer memories!
