Stuff and Surprise Trip

The kids don't have school on Wednesdays.  And then they also don't have school on Monday and Thursday either.  But Wednesdays are usually friend day. We've enjoyed having friends over that day. Liam and Elden like to walk to Family Dollar, pick up treats and have a little snack time together.

For the surprise trip....I took Cal, Haley and Eric to Georgia to celebrate Reed's birthday. We stopped for a little dinner, cheapo style.

We saw this awesome truck on the I-95 around midnight.  Too funny.

Reed woke up that morning to Cal and Eric knocking on his door.  We didn't get in till about 3am because we left late and got stuck in traffic for an hour.  Ugh.  But Reed was suprised!!! That afternoon we went to the beach on Amelia Island in Florida.  About 40 minutes from the Heit house.

That night it was hanging out, hamburgers, party and a movie.

We stayed Sunday as well.  We zoomed in to our church out in the screened in porch.

That afternoon we went to the downtown area to explore an old cemetary.  We saw a cool Thing too.

Lots of lizard fun in Georgia!

We left early Monday morning and took Reed home with us.  We were returning to Florida a week later for spring break so it would be easy to drop him off.  We swung by the temple site in Richmond.  It's looking great! Can't wait!

The boys were playing with a Sesame Street musical book at Reed's house. Then they found this one at a free library.  Too funny.  They memorize the order of when you press each button and then race to see who can do the order the fastest.  And yes, for the whole book.  But since they are board books it's not too lengthy of a pattern.

I enjoyed putting together some Easter baskets for Lee's team members.  March was the busiest month Lee's ever had.  Not sure if he'll ever get one like it again, but he could!  It's fun seeing the growth potential that could happen on a regular basis.  Lee works with some amazing people and we hope they know how much we appreciate them!

Cal likes to saute spinch every now and then.  It's amazing how small the pile of spinach ends up!

Our friend Xavier had a birthday party!  We enjoyed all joining in.  Reed and Xavier were born the same day and year, which is really fun. We had a fun time at Valley Jump celebrating.

I FINALLY recovered the dining chairs.  Next time I do I'm going to switch out the fabric as well.  I always put projects off forever, but then they start bugging me so much that I finally do them. I should be more proactive.  The plastic on the chairs eventually tears and it needs to be replaced about once a year.  But it keeps the fabric looking nice!

The town is replacing sewer lines around town and replaced the ones out in front of our house as well.  It's a mess!  I really don't mind as we haven't done anything special to our yard.  But it can get muddy out there.

Cinnamon rolls for breakfast!  YUM!
