A COVID 4th

The beginning on July Deb and her family came to our house for a day. Blake, Rhett and Reed were with us as well.  We hung out, did laundry, did a little trip to Harrisonburg and that night did a hike. We stopped at the JMU arboretum and got slushies at Speedway.

That night we hiked to the Stony Man Overlook.  We arrived just in time to see the sunset.  It was gorgeous.

Clark had fun showing them his Celica.

The next day, July 3, we headed to Nenjemoy nature area, or called Shark Tooth Beach near Purse State Park and Smallwood State Park in Maryland.  You can find oodles of shark teeth.  The Heits, Darrell's family and my family were there. Clark stayed at home to work. After Shark Tooth Beach we headed back to PA to celebrate the 4th.  We stayed at a hotel that weekend.

We had dinner at Darrell's that night.

We ended the night at Kristy's Whistle Stop with ice cream and French fries.

For the 4th of July we floated down the river that morning and then later headed to a park for our 4th of July feast.  Lee and I picked up fried chicken and readied a couple of tables for lunch.

There is a perfect spot to watch the fireworks at Darrell's by the Susquehanna River. We played games, did little walk, enjoyed treats and glow sticks while waiting for the fireworks.

It's always so fun seeing the fireworks.

We stayed at the hotel again that night with all of our kids.  We bought them t-shirts as a surprise in West Virginia and gave them to our kids that night.

We had church at Darrell's on Sunday and hung out.  On Sunday night Lee and Clark went home and I drove with the other kids (after saying goodbye to my parents) to Maryland.  Deb and I joined up at Lois' house.  The next day we went to Kilgore Falls.

We went back to Lois' after Kilgore Falls with the intention of going to the beach the next day.  The weather didn't look too great so we ended up not going.  We hung out that morning, then went to the Muddy Creek on a hike and a little bit of playing in the water.  Wild raspberries were enjoyed along the way as well!

I took off that afternoon to get home by dinner since we weren't going to go to the beach.  Lee found these beauties in our garden.  YUM!
