Frontier Cultural Museum

The first part of December I was able to go on a field trip with Cal to the Frontier Cultural Museum.  They have different exhibits set up as little towns or homesteads. You can see examples of Africa, Germany, America, and Ireland. I should have worn a coat as it was a bit chilly that day.  I enjoyed talking with a fellow from Europe who was stationed at the Germany settlement.  He told us a little about Nicholas of Myra, or Saint Nicholas.

They did demonstrations on how the Indians made certain things, like an ax.  This guy showed us how they smoothed down a piece of stone.  I was amazed at the difference in quality of life, for example, between the Indians and the Germans.

It's great having friends who will watch Elden so I can go on some field trips!  Thanks Abby!
