Wintertime!

If you want to find snow, go to Snowshoe!  Everytime we go we encounter very wintery weather! We headed out to West Virginia the middle of January and of course it happened to be snowing and 22 degrees out.  But we couldn't go a different day with Clark needed to take off work.  We headed out anyway even with all the grumbles from the kids--except Haley. We decided this time to rent skis for the 4 younger family members right Silver Creek, one of the Snowshow ski areas.  It worked great.  Last time we rented skis from a local place.  Which also was fine, but it was sure nice right after skiing to return their skis right away.  I really want to buy everyone their own skis this spring just so we don't have to mess with rentals anymore.  Though for growing kids rentals are the way to go to save money. Even with the grumbling kids, once we got there they all had a great time.  Hence me wanting to buy them their own skis. We made sure to bring "Hot Hands" which always helps a ton.  And last time we went we were basically covered in a sheet of ice by the time we were done, so the January ski trip was much more pleasant.  Even with snow and cold weather! We skied from about 9:30 to 3:30.  I would have loved to stay all day but people were ready to go home.  Also we did take about a 45 minute to an hour break for a snack-type lunch.  We went into the Silver Creek building and sat on some stairs that were oddly blocked off at the bottom.  It was the perfect little area to eat our cheese, crackers, apple slices, carrots, hummus and jerky sticks.

At times it wasn't snowing which was nice!  And thankfully we weren't by blowing snow.  I hate skiing by snow blowers.

Luch time!

One of mine and Haley's ministering sisters had a birthday so Haley made this cute card and we dropped off some cookies and lotion and lip balm.

You know, sometimes your son wants a piggy back ride.

All the kids in youth Sunday school!

On a Monday Shanna and I drove to West Virginia to see her good friend Cortlyn for Cortlyn's birthday. We stopped at Target for some birthday goodies and headed out.  We had a fun visit for a couple hours then headed home.

Lee came across a copule old photos.  So fun.

He loved playing baseball.  His mom offered him money to not play when he was a kid, but he wanted to anyway and loved it.
