Elden Turns 11!

Wow!  Elden is 11!  Next year he'll be able to go to the temple with us, which is very exciting.  No more having to try to find a babysitter or someplace he can hang out at! We had an early birthday for Elden with some of his cousins.

We also tried to go skiing one last time.  Sadly we were a few days short.  So sad.

Food Lion had an AMAZING sale on Ben & Jerry's.  I couldn't resit!  $2.50 per pint?!  Uhhh...YES!

The day before Elden's birthday we had our Relief Society birthday celebration.  It was very simple-ish with a taco bar, a short and wonderful message about ministering from Amy Crosby who is in the Stake Relief Society Presidency, cake and visiting!

Shanna came with me to the dinner that night and we headed to the store to try and find hand sanitizer.  It had been running out everywhere.

I bought a bunch of goodies to give to Lee's employees for St. Patrick's day.  I like doing little gift bags for them for just-because.

Elden requested a Twinkie cake with Nesquik frosting.  I obliged.

Everything is ready to go!

I froze the cake because I didn't want the whipping cream to turn into a mess.

That morning Clark headed off to a tennis match!  Sadly the last one of the season....

Shanna and I ran over to the school to decorate Elden's locker before he arrived at school. So crazy.  He just had two more days of school left and didn't know it...

After school his friends Michael and Kaden came over.

He opened presents from them, and they played.  Later we went to eat at a local restaurant.

We then headed to the church for Activity Days.  Elden wanted two of his teachers to bring their snakes to show off.  The boys loved it.

Later that night we had cake and ice cream.

And a few more presents.

Happy birthday Elden! We're so grateful you are part of our family! We love your giggles and your positive attitude. Your birthday was one of our last "normal" days.  The next day, Thursday is when everything around the US stared shutting down, even church was cancelled for that Sunday.  Friday school was cancelled and then was cancelled for the rest of the year.  So weird!
