Florida Part II

Day two we went to Universal Studios.  The first day Katherine took Gracie and Esme to Disney World and then second day they hung out at the resort, hence no pictures of them in my posts.

Going to Diagon Alley was so cool.

About every 25 minutes the dragon would breathe fire on top of the bank.  And the super cool thing about Diagon Alley is that out front there aren't any signs. You just walk behind these brick walls and stuff and boom, you're in this whole new Harry Potter World.  It's pretty awesome. The fun touches all over were so fun as well.  Like Kreatcher pulling back a curtain at number 12 Grimmauld Place.

The tilted buildings all over were so fun.

The night bus.

Gringotts!

We let our kids pick a Butterbeer or an ice cream cone.  Lee got something as well.  I couldn't bring myself to paying $7 for a drink or an ice cream cone when I could buy a whole container at the grocery store for $3 or under!  We also saved the kids money that they get from Lee's parent's for Christmas-$50 each--to use at Universal if they wanted.

Nocturn Alley.

Here is one of the entrances to Diagon Alley.  Again, no signs.  Just walk around the brick walls.

And another Diagon Ally entrance right next to the station entrance.

Kreatcher.

The Beat Builders are a percussion ensemble.  They were great, till they weren't.  Loved the music, but not some of the dance moves.

It was fun seeing the life-sized transformers.

The sign for the Leaky Cauldron.

I wish we would have eaten at the Leaky Cauldron.

The Weasley's Twin's store!

We had a really great time with the Peterson's.  It was so generous of them to invite us.  We left about 4:00pm or so and headed home, driving through the night.  It was really nice because it snowed a little bit in Virginia and two days of school were cancelled.  So they only missed one day of school.  We got home about 3:00am, no school that day. That was so nice to have a day to get things back into place after a long trip.  And the 3rd day it was a 2 hour delay.  We miss the warm Florida weather!  But can't complain too much...this winter and the past three winters have been incredibly mild.
