Rocket Launch

Wrapping some stuff up in the basement!

Elden and Shanna at their track meet!

Love the fire area.

Haley was so tired after school one day that she fell asleep.  She had me a little startled because I called out to her twice in a very normal voice and she didn't move a bit.  But I noticed her breathing after that so then I wasn't worried.

Haley's ham from Eric, haha.

Donating quite a few things.  YAY!

Misty morning.

This was that guest book I mentioned a few posts back.  So sweet of Patti!

Yep, there's a Cyber Truck in the area!  We've seen it a few times now.

Last day of seminary!  Crazy!

Yummy burgers by Lee.

We're headed to Africa in a couple weeks so I went ahead and bought Shanna and Haley luggage that they'll need for college and missions.

A little visit for Mother's Day!

The youth signing on Mother's Day I think...? Or just in Sacrament meeting.

Using all the options to keep the chocolate safe. Though Trader Joe's dark chocolate peanut butter cups are SO MUCH BETTER.

I helped with the Peterson kids for a couple days while David and Kat were on an anniversary trip.

Banana bread....I think!

More basement!

I knew I had left some chocolates in the Chevy and went to grab them. I also knew some had fallen...maybe one or two.  But then I found a WHOLE bunch.  So funny.

Woo hoo, the General Conference Liahona is here!

More track!

Haley did two more water colors for the basement.

Eats time.

Lee installed a new kitchen faucet.  Our other one had a good run...over 10 years, but it was dying on us.

More decluttering.

The exciting part---Elden bought and built a rocket!

Lee's weekly yummy pizza!

I decluttered some stuff from Shanna's closet to help her out and separated stuff into piles to help her with the process.

Back to the rocket.  Finally finished and time to set it off.  We realized that the batteries in the launcher were bad. After several tries, Elden finally got it to launch!  And then we went back for him to set off another one.  We had a fun time.

Shanna and Haley Turn 17! Prom and More!

Lots of this and this in the post.  A work truck headed north on highway 340 fell asleep or something right in town.  Crossed the opposing to lanes of traffic and hit a utility pole and two employee cars in the post office parking lot.  Wow, very crazy.  Thankfully the guy was okay, but what a mess for the two ladies at the post office!

More random basement pictures throughout.  Getting closer to being "done".

Shanna and Haley had an honor society awards night!   So fun they were both there. Shanna was inducted to the National Honor Society that night and Haley to the Social Studies Honor Society.

Shanna with her old school record.  So fun that it will be updated soon!

It was my Grandma Ruth's birthday so we read a story about her--no clue she was in a car accident!  And we had pie.  She either loved to make them or eat them...or both! I had a cranberry pie leftover from the holidays.  A perfect time to pull it out!

Prom is around the corner!  Shanna is working on blinging up her heels.

I gave blood in May!

Out of order birthday pictures....the girls are 17!  Wow!  I'm so excited for them!

Key lime pie for Shanna!

Flourless chocolate cake for Haley!

Seminary is coming to a close!  Kids heading out after seminary class one morning to go home.

Beautiful view on a bike ride for Lee and Haley!

Haley had a great mountain biking season!

Okay, back to the birthday.  Candles in bread to not mess up the pie and cake.

Present time!

Katelyn was so sweet and left the girls flowers and little gifts.  We'll have to do something for her while she's at her first year of college.

Okay....the pictures are so out of order...but more basement happenings.  I love these prints from Etsy.

Lee fixed up a spot for the firepit!

Birthday dinner! We did Shanna's choice first and will hit up Haley's later. Chipotle!

Nail time too!

They both received some fun gifts!

They love getting cards and money from grandparents.  They also have fun with the $2 bills my parents send to them each year.

I'm not sure why there are so many Shanna birthday gift pictures...huh..... We had fun celebrating with them over a few days!  We are going to miss them dearly when they head off to college next fall. Sniff.

For some reason Elden and I bought some Crumbl cookies.  No reason really needed in the first place because I think they're so good.

It was a Saturday so Elden also picked up a little free craft kit at Home Depot that morning. He had fun assembling it.

Shanna and Haley had a fun time at prom!  Shanna went to Katelyn's house to get ready.  I ran over some nail stuff to Shanna and she was holding a little bunny that Katelyn was trying to nurse back to health.

Fun Calvin & Hobbes tracings by Elden!

And one went in the Home Depot flower, haha.

Looking so good!  AH!

I met up with Haley at the JMU Arboretum for photos!

Haley with some of her friends!  Kaylee, Clarie, Jesse and Naomi then Haley.

I then met Shanna at Katelyn's. I had a fun time visiting with Dee Martin, Katelyn's grandma.

They had a fun time at prom! Shanna was on the prom committee so she received her tickets for free which was nice!

More basement.  Patti Peterson (David Peterson's mom) shared this idea with me of an unusual closet for a small space.  I love how it turned out.  Thanks to Lee for putting it all together!

Boom, closet area!

We helped a friend move out of her town home.  We loaded up lots of stuff into our truck to donate--filled up our truck more than I thought possible!  I decided to keep these items, but then we ended up just giving them away.

One last birthday celebration! We invited people to come on a Sunday for dinner and dessert.

Haha....Eric gifted Haley a ham.

Yay for turning 17 and for family visiting!
