We had quite the Memorial Day weekend & week! It started off with me picking up the older Heit boys to hang out with us for the weekend so their parents could have an anniversary get-away. We drove up to my parents to drop off a bed and it took an hour and a half longer because of traffic. Ugh. It only takes an hour and a half to get there! We stopped at Chick-fil-A for dinner.
Lee saved the evening by getting dinner ready for the girls and their friends. They came over for a hot dog roast and to hang out. I thought I would be home but was not. I think they had a lot of fun with their friends.
We got to go swimming on Saturday which was fun. But a stop at the park first!
That evening Lee and I stocked up on ice cream for the weekend. We would be celebrating my neice's birthday at our house. Lee and I were laughing about how much ice cream we had.
Our apples are growing and doing pretty well!
The handsome boys at church!
Stephanie and Andy came for the weekend and week. We sang to Rhett and Maggie in Primary.
Monday was full of excitement with the arrival of the Ereksons! They came for the week as well. On Monday my parents and Darrell and Stacie and family also visited, and Jeff and Lois joined us later for dinner. We had a big party on Monday. Steph, Lena and families stayed the rest of the week. Lee took some kids down to the creek.
Some of the older kids did work at Lee's office.
I love seeing cousins sitting and talking. So cute.
After hemming and hawing I decided that we should go to the pool. It looked like it was going to storm but was also holding off. We should have gone right away and we could have had more swimming time. But we had a fun time. Eventually the pool was closed because of thunder.
Lee and Cal had fun decorating Lillie's cake for her birthday!
When we're all together the birthday song comes out as birthday screaming.
After the party we headed to the park for some more fun.
Love all of the vehicles at my house!
We had yummy grilled chicken for dinner. Later Steph handed out sparklers for everyone.
Three of my sisters and Stacie! Wish you were with us Deb!
The next few days are kind of blurred together. But Lillie and Maggie were so cute together walking to the park! Best friends!
One day that week Lee hosted his limousine ride for those kids who read 1,000,000 words in the fifth grade. We took them to ice cream.
I made jam with Lillie and Maggie. Maggie is quite the pro with the stove!
Clark loves all the babies!
Steven helped me a little with chocolate chip cookies.
Steph, Lena and I had a ladies night out. Very fun!
Lee made a lot of progress on the media center!
Figuring out the trim was the hardest part!
On Friday Lena and kids took off to pick up Mike in DC and Steph and Andy headed out on an anniversary date. James was so cute at naptime.
Planks up! Now for the rest of the trim, staining the top above the cabinets, filling, caulking, sanding and painting.....
Cal is still into getting pennies from the bank...
We had a great weekend and week with everyone! I am always sad when everyone leaves. COME BACK SOON!!!
