We managed to keep busy right up till the end of the school year (a post coming soon, hopefully!). Though it's pretty busy all the time! Here are a few random happenings of this and that.
One night for family home evening Haley wanted to play out on the trampoline as she was in charge of "game" that night. Shanna is not pictured because of loud crying and being dismissed to the house by me. The kids love playing games on there and I love when everyone gets off happy!
I think that same night we had mint brownies for treat. Yum! They're a staple treat around here.
One day a couple of weeks ago I watched my friend's two youngest kids. I had to drop off some stuff in the PTA room and the sweet ladies in the office loaned me their elevator key! Pretty fun!
I love that Elden wore his cape while doing his jobs one weekend--bathroom duty that time around. Behind every superman is a great toilet cleaner, right?!
Every year the school has a big field day where each class participates in lots of games down at the park across the street from the school. Though I am sure it is fun, I never go to field day. Maybe I should, but I don't...basically I'm not interested! Maybe I'll go next year! Well, the kindergarten does their own field day (in addition to the big one for the whole school) with fun game areas that they rotate through. This marble drop was cute.
After games, we walked down to the park to eat lunch. They provided lunch for us--I think I paid maybe $2?--which was fun! When Elden finished eating lunch I left to go home while he played at the park with his classmates. I had lots of packing to attend to!
One more field day picture, out of order.
That evening we were off to spend Memorial Day weekend in NYC and Pennsylvania with my brother. Since the temple is by a route we can take to my brother's, we decided to stop that night for our monthly temple trip. Lee was able to take off a little early from work and Lois and Jeff met us there too. Lee went in first while I watched our kids. Then Lois, Jeff and I went in together while Lee watched all of the kids. He took some fun pictures that night. I love going to the temple!
This is a fun picture of the cousins together.
It was a beautiful evening. Stay tuned for more posts on our adventurous Memorial Day weekend!
