The big day came that Elden has been waiting for! 16th birthday!!! He opened cards in the morning. Sister Weiler had cereal for them at seminary that they get to pick out.
Lee finished up getting the lights off the tree. They were so pretty!
Oreo cake!
We had fun at Riverside Lunch for Elden's birthday dinner. So good!
Party time! Elder Robertson was able to call as well and Clark got on the call too. That was special!

Sheldon gifted Elden a super powerful Nerf gun. Sheldon told us he got welts on his back and Elden and Lee tried it out. Yep, haha.

Track photo day. Shanna sent me these. Her friend Jackson. I know his mom Emily--she's really great.
We finally went in for some eye exams!
Since Elden is 16, and then kids' passports are expiring the end of this year, I took them in to get 10 year passports. YAY! And update....they took our money and we got an email that they are processing. We should have them back soon!
I made Japanese curry one night.
We got Elden a drone for his birthday. He's been enjoying the building process and is quite good at soldering!
Stake youth activity! They helped with some projects at a camp. Lee drove Shanna and Elden there. It was Haley's last day of work at the ski shop.
Sunday we did a crazy trip to NC. We left close to 4am and headed to Sam's to say hi and they fed us breakfast.
We then went to Daniel & Amy's ward. Come to find out they dissolved their old ward and combined 90% of them into the new ward. Daniel's fellow counselor in the old bishopric is the new Bishop of that ward. Because of the huge change they had only sacrament meeting and then a "Munch & Mingle" after. That ward went from about 70 people to over 200!
A fun treat for St. Patrick's day at the Munch & Mingle. I got one for Elden. He said it actually wasn't good.
Sheldon was super thoughtful again and sent Cal this t-shirt for getting into BYU-Idaho! Love that he got him a classic Rick's t-shirt. So fun.
That night it stated hailing for a bit! Crazy! We arrived home about 8:30pm from NC. Fun trip seeing family!
St. Patrick's Day! Little treats for the kids. Under the pot of rolos are "Irish Potatoes". They are a coconut nougat dusted in cocoa powder. Lee made corned beef and cabbage for dinner with potatoes and carrots. So good.
Oh, I got rid of this. I have a photo for memories! Scouting remembrances!
Elden taking about the garbage with the OneWheel.
Mint brownies for St. Patrick's Day.
We are going to read this book for the April book group. I am loaning this to a friend, but took a picture of the inside. Brad Wilcox gave this to Elden when we met him and took Brad and Debi out to eat. So kind of him.
Golf cart deliveries!
I use these noodle to make pansit---the dish Connie Mabunda taught me. So good!
Another lovely temple day.
Shanna had a track awards night at Kline's. Haley tagged along. Elden and Lee had a young men's service project so they went to Kline's later.
Shanna was awarded MVP! I totally missed it though...we left early to pick up Emily for our young women activity. I didn't know it would be over so soon, or I would have stayed. Ugh.
After the activity we saw the young men at the church. We left about the same time to go home and saw Elden at a stop light. The truck started overheating so Lee stopped for some coolant.
Elden got an indoor track letter and pin!
Drone stuff!
The surveyors came to do the "plot plan"! YAY! They are basically verifying where we are going to put our garage addition. Kind of a waste of time and money, but the town wants it. It was confusing because the lady at the town was saying we need a foundation survey. But technically that's wrong. A foundation survey is done AFTER the foundation has been poured. She wanted something before any digging or construction happens.
A patient gifted Lee these eggs. So sweet of them! The really small off white eggs are from a little chicken called a silkie chicken.
Shanna and Haley babysat the Fitt and Karren kids one night at the Fitt's house. It was free ice cream cone day at DQ for the 1st day of spring. Elden and I got one.
More drone work!
Spring is here!
On a Saturday Haley had her piano festival. She did an awesome job and got double superiors! We stopped at Shirley's popcorn after for free popcorn for March reading month. I then met Lindsay Waters for lunch. After I picked up Shanna at her track meet. I missed her events, but was glad I could get her home earlier than her waiting for the bus.

After Haley's recital Lee, Elden and Haley helped the Peterson's get rid of some stuff. They first took the load to the dump of the yard debris from the YM activity Wednesday night. Then did two more loads to the dump!
Late afternoon Lee, Haley and Elden went to the trails behind the community center.
The Frankes came over the day before to play games with Lee and I joined in, and they gave us these cookies from the country of Jordan. They were interesting.
Sunday breakfast sandwiches!
After church I had a YW meeting, then choir practice, then we went to Haley's honor recital since she scored double superiors. It was fun to see Piper Fitt there and Robbie Weiler. We picked up Brennon Lorimer on the way home and he hung out with us for a couple hours. Elden and Brennon did some shed jumping. Lee gave a great talk in church this Sunday too about being a friend. We need to first to draw close to Christ and then we can be an even better friend.
