The day after Christmas we headed to DC for a Manheim Steamroller Christmas concert! It was awesome.....once we got there! Parking was crazy to find! We were a half out late, so sad. But we heard some classics at the concert that we love listening to at Christmas. Thought of Matt Bunker when I saw this sign, haha. The concert was awesome and loud!
Right before the New Year we headed to DC again...the next day after the concert. Shanna's friend Claire tagged along. We met the Bartholomews, Bunkers and Ereksons.
It was a beautiful, winter day. Nice when it warmed up a little too.
The silver tree!
We spent some time at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. We met up with family there.
Waiting around...
Fun on the second level.
Watch out...it's coming....
We had fun checking out the United States Botanic Gardens.
The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool was practically all frozen. The kids had fun sliding around on it.
Made it to the Lincoln Memorial! We had quite the trek after, going back to the Chevy. We were parked the furthest away and Darrell didn't want to do our original planned route. Poor Shanna, her shoes were bothering her.
After a long walk in the cold, we found our parking place and the Chevy was still there. We stopped at a decked out Wendy's for dinner after. Very festive! Whew....our two trips to DC in two consecutive days were over...and pretty fun.
