Ward Mountain Campground + Utah + Idaho!

Heat followed us our whole trip thus far.  We spent the night in Page, AZ before heading to Ely and it was HOT there!  7:00pm at night and it was over 100°.  The next morning it was in the high 80s. We made it to Ely late afternoon!  Our kids were very excited to be there.

This is the house Lee lived in his entire life.  He was born in Ely as well.  It's special for him to go back home.

We were at his parents for a little while the headed out to Ward Mountain Campground for a couple days to ride Lee's dad's ATV and our dirtbike that we bought from Lynn.  Thankfully our nephew Tyler doesn't mind storing it in his garage!

We were at the campground all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  We had family dinners, ATV and dirt bike rides, and mountain bike rides. Lynn and Marv camped at Ward Mountain and our other nephew Aaron and his wife Jamie came too, also Aaron's sister Chelsie. Kent, Saundra, Tyler, Annelise, Nathan and Shadrach came up for the family dinners as well.

Nathan owns a laundromat and has graciously paid the bill for us to use the laundry service.  We dropped off our clothes to get them washed with the intention for us to pay for them.  We didn't know that we had to bring our own stain spray.  Nathan was just about to go in a meeting, but Lee found out that we could use the stain spray, and then it ended up that we didn't have to pay for the laundry after all.  That was so sweet of him!  It's nice picking up the laundry all done and folded!

We went on a fun bike ride one morning.  It was neat because sections of the trail were created by Lee's dad.  The end part of the trail everyone got ahead of me and Haley and we had no clue where everyone went.  I was not happy about that! Lee was hanging back with the kids which I really liked but then at the end they all took off leavning me and Haley not knowing where to go.  Ugh.

A mini cheeto that Elden found.

Saturday we met Tyler and his family at the McGill "pool" which is a manmade pond.

We also love seeing what vehicles Nathan currently has in his collection.

This car is actually pink!  And had electric windows!

Strawberries with toasted marshmallow cream.

Sunday we enjoyed church in Ely, hanging out at his parent's house and a visit with Norma Dunton.

With Norma.

Had to get a picture of this....Pretty lonely road!

Sadly we got colds the weekend we were in Ely.  We still went around a did stuff but didn't get together with extended family and some friends like we had hoped.  But....we still hit up BYU.  We left early from Ely Monday morning and were in Provo by about 10am or so. Our first stop was at the Payson Walmart.  So fun to see the mural of the Payson Temple in Walmart!

It was fun buying BYU gear. And it was funny when I asked Cal about getting a hoodie.  He said mom, I have a hoodie.  I don't need another one.  A natural minimalist.

We still met up with the Bunkers and hung out with them. They didn't mind that we had colds.  We had dinner at Pioneer Park in Provo.  My niece Rebecca and her boyfriend Ryan were there too.

That night we both stayed at the same hotel.  The kids had fun swimming and I also got to see Darrell--he was in town for a conference--and my cousin Jonathan.

At some point we saw Roger briefly.  We were going to take a gun to Sam that Sheldon had made for Sam, and had left the gun at Roger's new house. It was fun seeing the outside of his house and waving to Lexi.  We met Deb at Bean Canyon Suspension Bridge.  So fun and a fun hike!

We took off again and headed to Rexburg, ID.  We met up with some nieces and a nephew and treated them to dinner.  Katie, Joseph, Lizzy, Ila and her finace Zack. We went to Millhallow.

Lee and I came here once for a date when we were at Rick's.

We had a fun time visiting with them and then took Katie and Lizzy home. We enjoyed seeing where Lizzy lived and saying hi to her roommates.  It was fun hanging out with the college kids!

We stayed at a Motel 6 that night in Rexburg.  It smelled bad!  I thought a Motel 6 in a small town would be okay, but it really wasn't.
