We decided this summer to go to Ely around the time we dropped of Shanna and Haley at BYU. We headed to Ely after eating at the creamery actually. We did a little bike ride tour with Chloe around Ely.
We then went on a bike ride later that day.
Lynn came which was really fun.
Dinner at the grandparents!
Nathan drove his Porche 928 over. Clark took it out for a spin with Chloe.
Sunday after church we found Judy's grave, Lee's sister who died shortly after birth. It was really neat, Lee's dad planted this large pine tree by Judy's grave. Though of course it was a lot smaller then.
The kids had fun riding Grandpa's ebike around. Sunday night we went to Tyler's for dinner.
Grandma brought out some jewelry and let Shanna and Haley pick things out.
Early Monday morning for Labor Day we hiked Mt. Wheeler! Tyler came with us. It's 8.6 miles. Though it seemed further! Beautiful hike!
Wild turkeys on the drive up.
We arrived around 6:30am.
Elden almost didn't come up the last part with us. It was pretty challenging, but he was so close! Glad he did.
Not a great trail at times...
The TOP!
We ate lunch in the Suburban and drove to Roger's that night. He fed us dinner and we did a little birthday party for Lee with the kids.
We dropped off Lee and Elden at the airport that night, so Lee could get back to work and Elden could finally start school, haha. Some point that night we did a final goodbye and drop off for Shanna and Haley as well. It was harder to say goodbye than I thought it would be. Definitely cried. I told them that God is closer, but I am only a phone call away.
I was a bit sad missing Elden's first day of school! Lee got a picture though which was really nice!
Lee had some fun birthday goodies waiting for him at the office!!!
One of the team members wanted a pet at the office, but us being pet adverse, Lee said no. So she bought Lee a "fish" haha for the office.
WOW! A second story!
Lee's birthday lunch!
With Lee and Elden home, Cal and I started driving back! We left Roger's that morning and headed back East. We stopped in Kansas City for the night, about halfway. Thankfully the Suburban worked great!!!
More house pictures!
We decided on the darker color for the new front porch decking.
Youth night!
Cal and I must have been stuck in traffic for a little while.
When we got home I found lots of the girls things around the house. It was kind of funny. Mainly Haley's things. In the fridge, in the car, etc.
