Gingerbread Houses-Holiday Fun

We're well into the holidays!  Haley had a fun trip to the FBI building in DC for a class fieldtrip. 

A youth temple trip!  My friend Bryleigh was able to come!

I recovered the chairs with Lee's help and love how they turned out!  I didn't put plastic covers on them so hopefully they stay clean.....

New holiday pillows for the basement!  They got the colors wrong on the lightbulb pillows......

Time to make gingerbread houses!!!

Shanna and Haley's last Christmas party. It's been pretty weird this time around with the girls having their last events here at home.  For some reason I didn't really think about it with Clark and Cal. But have been with the girls. It will be weird not having them here for yearly events like the Halloween Hoo Doo or the ward Christmas party!

Lee had me get some goodies at Moxie for his team members. Yummy!

Yep...still getting rid of stuff!  I went through Elden's clothes with him. 

Lee and I had our ugly sweater party. It went well this year!  It's always a bit stressful, but definitely fun. We were able to have Clark with us for some of it as well. 

Okay....the photos are mixed up, but I got the houses baked and cut out! 

Fun in PA! We did an early birthday celebration for my Dad.

It was fun having it snow right before we left. 

I helped my friend get rid of some books and I saved this to give to Darrell for his birthday.

We had the Lorimers, Carters and Harris' over for dinner and gingerbread houses. 

So funny about the skeleton getting dressed up for Christmas.

I bought some cupcakes for the high school office staff and got one for me.  Yum....

Fun gift exchange at the church with the Young Women. We also went to Walmart and bought things for a youth shelter to donate to them. 

Awww....such a fun gift from Lee's staff!!!

Gifts for seniors in need here in our town. 

Sadly Haley worked the night of gingerbread houses. I left her all the goods so she could make one. 

I love her holiday door decor!  It's fun seeing her creative touches in her room.

The kids got to make these in seminary thanks to Sister Weiler-writing on "gold plates". So neat!  

Elden doesn't know yet, but we are going to Busch Gardens outside of Williamsburg during Christmas break. I thought it would be fun to do matching shirts.  I did a white tree on each one then after Christmas people can "decorate" their tree with different colored fabric paint.

The kids had an ugly sweater party. I'm not sure if Shanna really liked it...Haley did!  I invited people that Shanna didn't want there...which I didn't know about. Ooops!

We did a trip to Harrisonburg with a little shopping and to decorate Darlene's room for Christmas. The 5th grade teachers got me a Starbuck's gift card so we all enjoyed some hot chocolate. 

The town has an Elf on the Shelf and one of the town employees, Jordan, has been taking it around town. She stopped by Lee's office to get an eye exam, haha. So cute. 

Back to the hot cocoa and shopping.....

We also went caroling at the nursing home! Haley had to work again, boo hoo. 

Our friend, Miss Kim is with us in the picture in the red sweater. Her mom, Lou, is here at the nursing home now which is hard. Glad Kim can come visit her everyday though and be close by.
