Thankful Weekend

We rounded off Thanksgiving with some fun at Massanutten.  First up, go-karts!

I wasn't going to do the go-karts because I didn't want to pay for it, but Karl needed a buddy and he chose me to go with him.  It was a lot of fun!  Though the steering wheel uncomfortable to manuver.

Ice skating was next!

We brought some hot water (thanks to Deb for reminding me!) and hot cocoa powder for after.

We grabbed a bunch of pizzas for lunch and ate back at our house.

Uncle Lee did a few more motorcycle rides!

One of the kids lit these candles.  The melting created some art work....

It's sad when family leaves.  The Ereksons took off to Mississippi.  Thanks for coming guys!  I loved that their whole family could be here.

The Ereksons stayed at two different resorts while they were here.  One in Gordonsville and then at Massanutten.  They had passes to do activities at the recreation center on Saturday. They had already left for home and gave us their passes to use. Saturday morning and afternoon was spent having some fun there.

Sunday we were all able to go to church which was great.  That evening Elden had a temple and priesthood preparation meeting and Hyrum, Deb and Matt were able to come as well.  When we got home that evening we watched some home movies and sang Christmas carols.

From the movie "Dreams".  A classic that my siblings and I created.

Elden and Hyrum had a little fun at the piano together.

We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving whatever form it took.  I really like watching the "Minimal Mom" on youtube.  I thought it was really sweet that she and her husband Tom got on live Thanksgiving Day so no one would feel alone.  I think that is one of the hardest things about the pandemic--loneliness.
