Christmas Eve! One of my favorite days of the year. The anticipation of Christmas is just as fun as Christmas itself. We went skiing that morning.
After skiing we prepped dinner and set the table. This is the third "fancy" table that I've done for Christmas Eve. Clark's ear hurt pretty badly so Lee took him in to see our friend Kristy. Clark had a pretty bad ear infection. Our first one ever for our kids! He was able to get him medicine that day. Most of the food was all ready...just needed to be warmed up. Haley made some cute menus.
The Petersons celebrated Christmas Eve with us. After dinner and talking, the kids acted out the nativity while Lee and David read the story from the Bible.
We had some treats, a quick game and said our goodbyes.
The kids were in their corridor, behind the sheet, by about 7:30! Not bad!
They played music, did some puzzles and even played a game I think.
Lee and I folded laundry, wrapped the presents, watched two Hallmark movies and set up for Christmas! We gave the kids just one physical gift each this year. We also did some family gifts and then an experience gift--to Jump C'ville. And of course skiing.
Their stocking just had treats. I wrapped a couple of them for fun.
Katherine gave me and Lee these cute monogrammed stockings with homemade toffee. YUM!
Happy Christmas Eve!!!
