Shanna and Haley have been working on a wind turbine for the Virginia Kid Wind Challenge for a couple of months. The day came! We traveled to Roanoke Children's museum for the event.
I loved the huge lego blocks.
They enjoyed spurts of exploring the museum.
They had a couple of events with their team. They needed to of course test how powerful it was and get the joules measured.
Later they had a test to take on wind energy.
We also stopped in the gift shop. I thought these things were hilarious.
At the end there was an awards ceremony. The girls were recognized for being an all-girl team.
One of their friend's made t-shirts for all girls in the group--super cute!
Clark bought a bike! We paid part and he paid part. He went without a bike for awhile and we finally buckled down and helped him get it.
I made some sweet and sour chicken one night...random photo...turned out pretty well!
I received an N-Style box with some fun goodies! Too bad it was the last one. The athomewithnikki company stopped doing them.
I saw this one night and thought it was hilarious.
Lastly, their wind turbines were on display at the front of the school. So fun!
