Before we headed out of town we snuck in some extra fun and extra work. I finally finished my t-shirts for the upcoming big holiday week. Elden and Lee helped.
I definitely was not ready for that picture!
The last day of school before Christmas break was a half day. The girls invited some friends over for an ugly sweater party, and to make gingerbread houses. The boys had some friends over earlier that week to also play and make gingerbread houses....I need to look for those pictures.
We had a fun time. Though, three hours was actually much too long. Two hours would have been perfect.
We went to the library for a little bit then headed to Harrisonburg for some church activities.
Since we weren't going to be home for Christmas AND we weren't giving them the regular "presents" the kids decided to have a "fake Christmas". They gifted each other presents and some gave a couple to even me and Lee. We had pumpkin pie for breakfast too!
There was lots of hugging....it was so cute.
My friend gave us a fun goodie box for our travels. So kind and thoughtful!
And one last party before we left.....Clark invited friends over for an ugly sweater party as well. They had a great time. I hear it was a little awkward at first but then people warmed up and enjoyed it. I was in and out, and the other kids were upstairs watching a movie.
Jenga is always a hit..whether to play with or to build with.....
