Day 2 of the reunion we started out by visiting my niece's grave. It was great taking the whole family there. I am sure Holland enjoyed seeing our family reunion.
Our next stop was Bridal Veil Falls.
There used to be a tram-like thing that would take visitors to the top. Once on top they could look around or go eat at a restaurant up there. My parents went right after they were married. Wish it was still there!
There is a short hike up to the falls.
Very pretty!
We then headed up Provo Canyon and spent the rest of the day there. It was so fun hanging out at the pavilion. There was a big grassy lawn and a little creek too. The kids had a blast. After lunch we played some fun games, like cousin bingo.
Me and Miss Maggie.
I was the first bingo winner!!!
There was also Jeopardy for the cousins. I would have lost this game! It was challenging! There were questions from where did grandma and grandpa go on their honey moon (Mexico) to Uncle Sheldon's pets when he was little (can't remember) to what aunts went on missions and where.
There were some relay games too, like balancing an egg on a spoon. Of course we did a pie eating contest. Bartholomew tradition! We did a few rounds: toddlers/little kids, kids, big kids, adult males, adult females.
I lost! Well I got second place. Deborah won. I won the last time or a couple times before that, so I'm cool with it.
Shanna and Haley loved it so much they did their own pie eating contest. Well, more like how much pie can we smear on our face contest.
There was a bubble gum blowing contest too.
We had dinner there too--thanks to Steph for lunch AND dinner! That evening my brother Sheldon and my sister-in-law Brittany and I went on a 5 mile run. My dad drove us 5 miles away from the pavilion and we ran back up. Later that evening I went on a 3 mile bike ride with Lee, Sheldon and Andy. There was also marshmallow roasting for s'mores and games! Thanks Daniel for bringing all those awesome games! It was a great day hanging out and just enjoying family.
