The week before Halloween we headed up to Maryland for a temple trip. It's been so great living near my sister so that we can swap babysitting. In the past Lee and I traded off, which worked great too. But it sure is nice having a special date with your companion to the temple! After the temple and some shopping, we all went over to the grand opening of a new shopping center. We (mainly the kids) free cotton candy, pumpkin decorating, face painting, live music and bales of hay. We also walked around the new grocery store at the shopping center. That may sound weird, but it is a REALLY cool grocery store--Wegman's. I mean really, you can buy mushroom truffles there for $1000 a pound!
I was impressed with the face painter. She did an amazing job.
Lee and I babysat Lois' kids that night as they went to the temple and on a date. At least I think they went on a date after the temple...
So, what is really funny is that last time we went to church with Lois, a pipe in the fire sprinkler system broke and water gushed out into one end of the church building. After everyone was outside they canceled the rest of church. It was already the 3rd hour, so it worked out well. Funny enough, after the initial evacuation/emergency, the Bishop decided they needed to prepare for a real emergency and had a fire drill....the SAME Sunday we decided to visit again! Too funny. We got to participate again in another fire drill. Of course this time it was just practice. I took a few pictures of a place in the church they taped off with "do-not-enter" tape. It was where the "fire" was taking place so people had to go around it to get out. For some reason I can't find them! Oh well. Here is a shot of us outside waiting for the okay to go back inside.
Several years ago Lois found a great deal on a dress at Old Navy. She called me up and asked if I wanted to buy one. We both bought one. We had been talking about wearing the same dress for a little while and we finally did that Sunday we visited. Lots of fun comments were made. Like, are you guys twins, and what did Lois do to her hair? (Seeing me, thinking I was Lois.) It was really fun dressing alike. Even our sandals matched! Now we just need to buy another set of matching clothes.
Sunday night we went to Mary's house to celebrate her husband's birthday. Later we drove home. It's always fun seeing them. Lois and Mary are very good friends, and Mary and I have also become friends. It's fun seeing people in Lois' ward and having "friends" in her ward too.We had a great weekend! Thanks Lois and family!

Hi friend! I would love to respond to your comment but your email address isn't attached to your profile so I can't find it!
We love Wegmans! It's a fantastic store - everything that you can imagine - and the prices are reasonable.
Yes, Wegmans is super cool, I agree! Sounds like a great trip.
SO glad you guys made it over to Wegman's for all the fun/free stuff--they should do more of those ;)
haha Lois was telling me about how people were doing double-takes when they saw you and her in the same dress! Very cute dresses, by the way.
Thanks for coming over to celebrate Chris's bday with us! It was a fun night!
That was a fun visit!! Thanks for coming!! Looking forward to next Saturday. :)
