Hi All!
Those of you watching conference, we hope you have been enjoying it like we are. We were pleasantly surprised to find the broadcast of conference on channel 19!! I am going to email our cable company a thank you. It's nice to be at home and WATCH conference; not just listen to it via dial-up.
Our past week was fairly normal. Our van doesn't want to be fixed, but we're hoping this next week it will be cured.
We went on a few walks. Two of those were to the library. Clark and Cal again enjoyed storytime. The librarian has orange Halloween suckers out for the kids, and Clark and Cal like getting a treat at the library.
Lee started studying for part II of boards. He will take this test the middle of December. Then he has part III in April of 2008.
We enjoyed having Dad and Mom B stay the night Friday. They arrived Friday night about 9 pm and then left a little after 9 am the next morning. We had fudge pie that night, and stuffed french toast the next morning. Both were delicious. Friday night Dad and Lee watched some of the game between Utah and Louisville.
Not much else happening. The boys and girls are doing well. Cal is still following Clark around a lot and Clark is enjoying his oatmeal. Clark has asked Lee to make oatmeal almost every morning for the past week or so. Shanna is still getting up on her knees and Haley is enjoying kicking and moving around too. Lee has gone on a couple bikes rides--but it was for transportation sake. And for my update, I have enjoyed looking at two cookbooks and another book on creating storage spaces in different parts of the house.
Take care and have a good week! And if you want the recipe for the Old Fashioned Fudge Pie, scroll down. (It's EASY and very good!)
PS--There is a couple in our branch, the Sticklands. Last night Lee was talking to them and told them he was from Ely. Well, lo and behold Tom & June Pucket used to live in Whiteville! The Stricklands and Puckets became good friends and still keep in touch. When Brother Rick (Strickland) was the Branch President, Tom was his clerk. And June and Sister Vicki (Strickland) were in the Primary together. This surely is a world-wide church.
