Wow, April has been a BUSY month. The first Wednesday of the month the young women in our ward have a combined activity with the young men. The young women chose an activity based loosely off of the Food Network show "Chopped". It was hectic at the beginning, but in the end everyone seemed to have a fun time.
They had chicken, carrots, and onions to work with among other things.
The secret ingredient? Sour gummy worms!
The judges!
And for some other randomness below:
It cracks me up that you can buy MSG at Sharp Shopper--a grocery outlet store, and one of my favorite stores!
I found these shirts for $1 each! I snagged one for me and Lois. I haven't worn it yet though. Need to figure out an outfit...
The first part of April Clark had a field trip to Richmond, VA. They visited some historical sites and a children's museum, I think. Lee took the day off and went a long with him. I love that our kids like us tagging along to stuff! I need to get a run down from them on what they all did. Here are some of the pictures Lee took. Sounds like they had a great time!
I love that so much US history is literally in our backyard.
The girls, Elden and I have been reading the New Testament story picture book at night. I missed a lot of nights, but we finally read it. It was good reading it as we're reading the New Testament right now as a family. I promised a treat when we finished.
I love that they "dressed" up for the occasion!
My friend's daughter was recently married. I had fun going to her bridal shower.
I was one of the "toilet paper" brides. Hey I got a delicious dark chocolate chocolate bar out of it!
I got this t-shirt dress for Shanna at the beginning of the year. It is a little too short now. I added some fabric.
I was going to do some instagram posts, but then never did...hence all the pictures! Melissa S....are you on instagram?!
Our library received a grant to purchase new children's book. To kick off the arrival of the new books our librarian hosted a little lunch at the library for the regular storytime kids. McDonald's even donated the chicken nuggets and moms got to eat too!
One morning Elden decided to eat al fresco.
