February seems like it was a million years ago! COVID-19 is in full force, but as always I'm a little behind on updating the blog.
In February Lee and I helped with a youth activity one night that Clark led.
After the activity we took Cal to the Nesquik machine but it wouldn't work! I guess he needed a JMU student card to use it. Weird.
Our neighbor across the street sadly had to go to a nursing home. We seriously looked into buying his house. We aren't sure where the appraisal came in at, but we would overbuild the neighborhood A LOT if we tried to buy it. Right now we aren't going to, but it was fun going to through the process of thinking about it and doing some research on prices and such for remodeling.
Our big trip in February was Snowshoe! Snowshoe is a big ski resort in West Virginia about 3 hours from us. I loved going there. There are two sections that you can ski at. We stayed at only one. I wish we would have gone to the other but people were getting tired. Next year we'll have to set aside enough time to spend a couple of days there, rent a house and hit both ski areas. So fun!!!
On the way up the weather turned crazy about a 1/2 hour from Snowshoe.
Normally when we go places we bring our own food to make the event less expensive. We planned out eating at the resort though which was really fun. We just skied down and had lunch! The place was packed but we got our bellies full.
The afternoon was beautiful. I wish they hadn't been blowing snow though. That was really annoying.
Haley and Elden loved the little side trails.
On the way home we just happened to drive past Green Bank, West Virginia where they have the huge radio telescope and cell phones don't work there. Though I find in many places of West Virginia my cell phone doesn't work, haha. I had just read about that town recently so it was fun actually driving through it! Fun day of skiing! Can't wait to go back next year.
