I drive Elden to seminary almost everyday. We ended up behind the cement truck that was headed to our house! We decided to go ahead and get sidewalks and a driveway poured.
I decorated in the basement! I had a plan to add more Christmas decorations, but decided not too. I like the simple, fun holiday decor. Plus I don't need to spend more money or dedicate more storage space!
Haha, nice pink frog.
Morning shift at the Richmond Temple!
Yep! It snowed and was pretty cold for a couple weeks in December. School was canceled 2 or 3 days at one point. Maybe a week or so earlier? Can't remember....
Our Christmas program! It seemed to go really well. Wish all our kids could have been there. Lee and I went the night before to set up and the Lorimers came to help which was really nice.
My friend Ellen is the Primary President. She has friends that have all the costumes for the Nativity and let the kids borrow them!!! They sang "The Nativity Song". A couple youth shared how they celebrate Christ during the Christmas season, then Bishop Peterson read a Christmas story about giving Thomas S Monson had written. It turned out really nice!
Okay...this is when school was canceled!!!
Shanna and Haley met up with Lexi one Saturday for indoor climbing! Super fun!
One Sunday afternoon we decorated for Barbara, Darlene and Teresa at their nursing home. Brittany, Robbie, Clayton, Liam and Casey came too. It was great having a group to do this with.
Elden letting AI pick out some hair styles haha.
Elden baking away!
Cal went on a hike with some friends. I thought this was so cute!
The roads were pretty crummy. Elden and I drove to Harrisonburg to drop the car off to get an ozone treatment--the Subaru. Elden did a great job driving in the mess!
Game night! Seven Wonders Architects.
Elden's treat.
The skeleton is back!
Got our counter for the mini bar upstairs in the garage! I am writing this post very late...since Christmas Clark dubbed the space "the Loft" and I quite like it! We'll stick with that name!
The counter is a remnant piece and still was quite expensive. He had to remove a metal rod that was in it and patch the holes, but the holes are in spaces not really seen. It was frustrating that he cut the piece before he had my go ahead. He asked me what I wanted, but I hadn't texted back. And then he just cut it. Ugh. Glad I liked out it turned out! The paint needs to be darker on the cabinets. Overall it looks good though.
Lee is putting in IKEA cabinets in the kneewall space. It's taken a lot more time than we both thought, but it's turning out great! I'm impressed he figured out a way to utilize the space!
The "remodel"!
Haley made this in art Class last year. Lee had it customed framed and it's hanging in the office. So beautiful!

The big court date arrived. I won't go into a long story, but basically, they dropped the case! Our friend Richard did the case pro bono. When the prosecuting attorney saw that he was a professor at a law university, was doing this pro bono and had a folder prepared for the defense, they dropped it. I told Richard I could probably cry! We still had to go in the court room. I tried to get the case switched into my name, but I found out that only the judge could order a change in DMV records. So Lee went up and they basically asked if Lee agreed to not sue the court for unjust charges and that the case was being dropped. We actually have no idea what the judge asked--this was what Richard told us. The judge's verbage was confusing. Richard told us a huge amazing story about Prop 8, how he was the speaker for it, getting death threats, kicked out of Pepperdine, but had some great things happen at UCLA...it was amazing. Elden came with us too and missed school again because of court! On the way home I offered a prayer of gratitude to Heavenly Father and started crying. This was such a great day!!! I never considered that the cased would be dropped. And I was stressing out about going back again without Lee and then getting all the questioning, etc. AHH. So so so grateful it was taken off our plate!
I flew to Chicago for the weekend to babysit Steph's kids! I left Friday and got back Saturday night.
A fun gourmet store in the airport.
We all stayed at the Intercontinental. It was so fun seeing the Christmas decor.
Steph and Andy headed to Andy's work party and I took the kids to a market for dinner. Very yummy and super expensive!
We ate at Eataly...like Italy....
Such an awesome view from my hotel room! Steph didn't tell me...but the kids were spending the night in my room with me. That threw me off. I had no idea. Thankfully it turned out okay. There is an indoor pool on the 9th floor, or something like that. And it's a big pool! Every Friday and Saturday they play a movie in there and have free popcorn and lemonade We went in twice to get popcorn, but the kids didn't want to go swimming.
I took this....then....
Told AI to add Christmas lights, haha.
Clark studying in the Family History library at the BYU Library!
The hotel's buffet breakfast was so awesome!
Little ketchups and such! They even had mini bottles of maple syrup.
We then went to the Griffin Museum.
I've heard about German U-boats from WWII, but never knew they were THIS BIG! WOW! This one our country captured and brought it back to study it and get secrets from it... Very interesting.
Lunch at the museum!
Steph sent a fun Christmas gift! Lip balm and popcorn!
Elden helped the track eam put out wreaths for those who served in the military.
Dana put these cute trees together for the office!
Fun with the Petersons and Stanfords!
One of the renters left this.....
I thought this was a super cute card Lee's niece did.
Haha....yep!
Cal having fun at BYU-I!
This was hilarious. Clark and Chloe's twin nieces. They had vaccines that day. Clark adjusted the photo with AI. So funny.
Apple juice, right?! Happy Holidays!!!
